Computer fans

Last year, I sourced a line of computer fans for my son’s friend. I personally visited the factory to fully understand the products, verify their quality, and compare key features directly with the manufacturer. This allowed me to build clear bullet points for customers—highlighting important elements such as airflow performance, noise level, durability, RGB options, and compatibility. Seeing the production process myself ensured that we selected reliable, well-engineered cooling solutions.

Mailler bags

Last year, we shipped over one million mailer bags. One of the key improvements we requested from the factory was to reduce the quantity per carton, making each box lighter and easier for customers to handle. This small adjustment slightly increased packaging costs but delivered a big benefit for customer convenience, improving workflow, reducing strain, and simplifying daily operations.

Packing Tapes

In our Packing Tape project, we had to learn the differences between the main types of adhesive glues used in tape production. Understanding these formulations helped us choose the right tape for different customers and applications.

The key adhesive types we studied were:

Acrylic Glue – UV-resistant, long-lasting, and ideal for storage or long-distance shipping. It performs well in a wide temperature range but needs a clean, dry surface to bond properly.

Hot-Melt Glue – Strong initial tack and excellent holding power. Perfect for fast-moving packing lines and heavy cartons. It sticks immediately and works well in cooler environments.

Natural Rubber Glue – Premium adhesive with the best overall performance. It offers strong adhesion on many surfaces, including recycled cartons, and works reliably in both cold and humid conditions.

Learning these differences helped us guide customers toward the tape that best fits their needs—whether for high-speed warehouses, long-term storage, or difficult carton materials.

Paddle boards

For the Paddle Board project, I worked with a close friend who previously operated a kayak and paddle-boat rental business. To support his new venture, we negotiated with the factory to lower the MOQ, making it easier to launch without heavy upfront investment. We also arranged to print the customer’s logo directly on the boards, giving them a professional, branded look. This customized, small-batch solution helped him restart his business with confidence and flexibility.

Beach towels

The Beach Towels project began after we noticed strong sales performance on Amazon for high-quality microfiber towels. Building on this trend, we developed our own collection and created exclusive designs specifically for this line, focusing on vibrant colors, modern patterns, and family-friendly themes. We presented the collection to Canadian Tire, highlighting the lightweight construction, fast-drying fabric, and unique artwork.

The response was very positive, and we have now been selling these microfiber beach towels for over two years. Their durability, compact size, and eye-catching custom designs have made them reliable repeat sellers across multiple channels.

Silicone Bottle Boots

The Silicone Bottle Boots project began as a direct inquiry from Canadian Tire, who was looking for protective silicone bases for popular water bottles. We quickly sourced a reliable manufacturer, finalized the specifications, and moved into production on a tight schedule. 

To ensure the product was ready for their launch date, we arranged air shipping, allowing us to deliver the goods on time despite the short lead time. This fast-response project helped strengthen our relationship with Canadian Tire by demonstrating our ability to execute quickly and reliably.

Scented candles

With over 20 years of collaboration with Canadian Tire, I’ve had the privilege of building strong, long-term relationships with many associate dealers. One of them, my friend Mario, expressed interest in developing a line of high-quality soy wax scented candles. Fortunately, I already had a trusted factory in my sourcing network that specialized in premium candle production.

We worked closely with Mario and his team to develop the full fragrance selection, focusing on scents that were both customer-favorite and suitable for the Canadian market. This collaboration continues today as we refine and update the collection to ensure we always offer the most popular and appealing fragrances.

Recently, I visited a perfume and fragrance laboratory to further enhance our quality, work on new scent profiles, and develop exclusive fragrances that differentiate our candle line even more. This ongoing innovation allows us to deliver a premium product that stands out on the shelves and meets the expectations of Canadian Tire customers.

Air Fryer Silicone Liners Project

The Air Fryer Silicone Liners project began following a recommendation from Canadian Tire, who identified strong demand for reusable, heat-resistant liners to complement their air fryer assortment. Thanks to our long-standing sourcing network, we already had a trusted manufacturing partner capable of supplying this product consistently, with stable quality and year-round availability.

We coordinated closely with the factory to confirm food-grade materials, heat resistance, correct sizing, and packaging suitable for retail. With reliable production and continuous supply, we’ve been able to support Canadian Tire’s needs and maintain strong in-stock levels throughout the year.

Photo frames

The Photo Frames project is dedicated to one of our long-time funeral industry customers. This product category is very familiar to us, as our company’s roots are in home décor, where quality framing and decorative presentation have always been a core strength.

For this project, we collaborate closely with my friend Jeff, who owns an excellent factory known for its craftsmanship and consistent quality. Together, we ensure that every frame meets the high standards required for the funeral sector—respectful presentation, durability, and refined design. 

Our long experience in décor, combined with Jeff’s manufacturing expertise, allows us to deliver a reliable, well-made product that serves families during meaningful moments.

Placemats

Our placemats have consistently been strong sellers at Canadian Tire, thanks to their quality, durability, and eye-catching designs. To keep the collection fresh and aligned with seasonal trends, we introduce new designs three times per year.

Before each production cycle, we conduct a customer and retailer survey to identify the most popular patterns, colors, and themes. This ensures that we always print the designs that resonate the most with shoppers and deliver strong sell-through on the shelves.

Our data-driven approach, combined with creative design development, continues to make placemats one of our most successful and reliable product categories.

Window’s scellant

It took us two years of research and testing to find the right product that could withstand Quebec’s demanding outdoor climate. As a result, we now offer two versions:

One designed for summer, optimized for heat, UV exposure, and outdoor use.

One designed for winter, engineered to resist freezing temperatures, snow, and harsh weather conditions.

This dual-version approach ensures reliable performance year-round and provides customers with durable, high-quality options tailored to real Canadian weather.

Pepper Mills

The Pepper Mills project is one where we focused heavily on the small details that make a premium product stand out. From material selection to grinding mechanism quality, we worked closely with the customer to ensure that every component met high expectations.

We also supported the customer in developing their packaging, refining structure, layout, and visual presentation to create a retail-ready box that reflects the product’s quality. By combining attention to detail with strong collaboration, we achieved a finished product that is both functional and beautifully presented.
